This Has Become My Favorite Christmas Album

With the exception of "O Come All Ye Faithful," painfully sung by George Jones (but fortunately the last of the 20 songs on the CD, so its easy to skip--sorry George), this CD has exceptional variety with some of the best country Christmas classics. I'm typically not one to listen to country music on a regular basis; but I heard a coworker playing this CD and it became a must have. (And this coming from someone whose other Christmas favorites are albums/CDs by The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Robert Shaw Chorale, Percy Faith, the Boston Pops, and The Manhattan Transfer.)Alabama's "Christmas in Dixie," Dolly Parton's "Hard Candy Christmas," Willie Nelson's "Pretty Paper," and a hauntingly awesome rendition of "Here Comes Santa Claus, sung by Dwight Yoakum, are among my personal favorites; but each one is a classic in its own right.Take your favorite song from the Christmas album of each of these artists, burn them into a single CD, and you've got "Classic Country Christmas."

GREAT CHRISTMAS CD

This has become my favorite Christmas CD. With the exception of Oh Come all Ye Faithful sung by George Jones, this CD has a variety of songs sung by your classic country singers. When I saw it I knew it was a must have CD, and I wasn't disappointed! There's a very good variety of both singers and songs. Even if you don't listen to country music regularly, I'm willing to bet that you'll like this CD!
