Great Album

I've loved Gene Watson music for several years now, but this album really is "the Best of the Best". You can hear the maturity of the artist in each of these much loved songs. I didn't find one song that I didn't love as much or even more than the original version. I would highly recommend this to old fans of Gene and to newer fans as well. Thanks, Gene, for one marvelous album.

Really the Best

This album (CD) apparently contains all NEW recordings of some of Gene Watson's hits. He appears to have new backup singers and an enlarged band with lots of strings. His voice has never been better. Actually, I hesitated to buy this album because, in my experience, often "the best of" albums are just a compilation of old recordings, which I already have. But not this one. It's a terrific album with a great sound. I think this is Gene Watson at his best.
