Killer Country

Country music has never been as good as it was back in the 60's and 70's. You just can't beat Jerry Lee singing country with his piano. I want to puke every time I hear modern country music. All the country artists today sound like watered down rock bands. It's ridiculous. I keep hoping we can have another talented country artist who plays the piano to take Jerry Lee's place. No luck so far.

Two of the best Jerry Lee Lewis' albums in one CD: Great value for amazing music! Both are among the best 60s LPs by any artist, maybe among the best records ever in the country and rock and roll fields. These records can please both kinds of fans.Jerry Lee gives his energetic twist and personal sound to well-known songs, particularly a fantastic rendition of the classic movie song "North to Alaska". "Walk Right In" is also a smash. Delightful renditions of uber-classics of country such as "King of the Road" and "Green Green Grass of Home" are worthy of note too.The Memphis Beat album is non-stop energy, fusing Rythm and Blues with Rock and Roll and a country touch. Fantastic sound and production.I have heard this CD more than a hundred times, and keep on hearing it. Whenever I put it, I still get a shot of wild energy! More than highly recommended for anybody who likes rock and roll and country.
